To the eye: A garnet robe with tawny reflections, of silky density and a brilliance subtly veiled by time.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, damp undergrowth, liquorice and black truffle, lifted by a mineral touch of graphite.
On the palate: Velvety texture, lively acidity and melted tannins, carried by a chalky minerality and a long finish of taut elegance.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full purity.
