The François Lamarche Marc de Bourgogne 1961, from the Burgundian terroirs, is a marc spirit aged since 1961. Its notes of candied fruits, noble wood and spices are balanced by a smooth texture and a mineral freshness. Ideal for closing a meal with elegance.
A family heritage rooted in the heart of Burgundy, Domaine François Lamarche has perpetuated an artisanal expertise since the twentieth century.
- Terroir: Limestone and clay-limestone soils of the Grands Crus of Vosne-Romanée, where pinot noir flourishes into a mineral and elegant expression.
- Winemaking: Traditional distillation of the marc, patient aging in oak barrels to reveal the depth of the aromas.
Tasting notes for Domaine François Lamarche Marc de Bourgogne 1961
To the eye: An amber robe with copper highlights, dense and slightly viscous, betraying a silky ripeness and a long evolution in barrel.
On the nose: First, aromas of toasted dried fruits – fig, apricot and walnut – followed by a hint of acacia honey, then deeper notes of blonde tobacco, cocoa and a subtle salinity reminiscent of sea spray.
On the palate: A smooth and velvety texture, carried by a mineral tension and a lively acidity that balances the richness of gentle spices; a long and chalky finish, where nuances of vanilla and precious wood linger.
Serve at 16–18°C in a brandy glass to release its complex aromas.
Vintage 1961
A rare vintage, shaped by a climatically balanced year, where the slow ripening of the grapes gave birth to a marc of exceptional depth.
- Aging potential: To be kept for several more decades in a cool and dark place, away from temperature fluctuations.
