Domaine François Lamarche
A family estate rooted in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, where six generations of exacting standards have shaped cuvées of rare precision.
- Terroir: clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Burgundy's Grands Crus, where Pinot Noir expresses all its nobility.
- Vinification: a fruit-focused approach combining tradition and finesse, producing wines of elegant tension.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine François Lamarche Clos Vougeot 1989
To the eye: a deep garnet robe with tawny reflections, of silky texture and slightly veiled by time.
On the nose: aromas of candied black cherry, damp undergrowth, sweet liquorice and a touch of forest mushroom, lifted by a subtle chalky note.
On the palate: a velvety attack, a lively acidity that carries the substance, a saline minerality on the finish and a persistent length where soft spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
