François Lamarche La Grande Rue 1986
La Grande Rue 1986, Grand Cru from Domaine Nicole Lamarche, reveals the soul of the limestone soils of Vosne-Romanée. This elegant Pinot Noir, with notes of morello cherry and spices, captivates with its silky and mineral texture. Perfect with a beef roast, it can continue to improve until 2030.
Domaine Nicole Lamarche
Heir to a two-hundred-year viticultural heritage, this family estate embodies the excellence of Vosne-Romanée, where each cuvée reflects the soul of an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and the unique microclimate of La Grande Rue, nestled between the greatest Burgundy Grand Crus, shaping wines of rare elegance.
- Winemaking: A fruit-forward approach, with controlled yields and precise vinification to reveal the purity of Pinot Noir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Nicole Lamarche La Grande Rue 1986
In the glass: Deep garnet robe with tawny hues, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe morello cherry, faded violet and damp undergrowth, lifted by a touch of liquorice and a chalky minerality characteristic of the great Vosne wines.
On the palate: Velvety and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a persistent salinity, with a long, spiced finish where notes of tobacco and black truffle intertwine.
Serve at 16°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
Vintage 1986
A vintage marked by optimal ripeness of the grapes, offering a perfect balance between structure and finesse for this Grand Cru.
- Aging potential: At its peak today, this wine can still be cellared for 5 to 10 years under ideal conditions (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations).
