The François Lamarche La Grande Rue 1989, Grand Cru monopole in the Côte de Nuits, is born from clay-limestone soils. Aged in barrels, it offers notes of black cherry, spices, and violet. Silky, mineral, and fresh palate. Perfect through 2030 with game or aged cheeses.

Heir to a two-hundred-year-old viticultural tradition, this family estate embodies the excellence of the great crus of Vosne-Romanée, where each cuvée reflects the soul of a unique terroir.

Tasting notes for Domaine François Lamarche La Grande Rue 1989
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density through which the maturity of a great Burgundy shines, with a clarity that heralds a velvety texture.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, damp forest floor, and licorice, lifted by a touch of black truffle and a saline note that evokes the chalky soils of Vosne-Romanée.
On the palate: A round and generous attack, carried by vibrant acidity that brings tension and freshness, while a chalky minerality structures a long and persistent finish marked by notes of cocoa and gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its bouquet.

A sun-drenched and generous vintage, where the summer heat allowed the Pinot Noir of the Côte de Nuits to reach optimal ripeness, offering rich and fleshy wines while retaining a beautiful freshness.
