Tasting notes for Domaine Nicole Lamarche La Grande Rue 1967
To the eye – A garnet robe with tawny highlights, still dense, revealing a silky texture and generous body, preserved by time.
On the nose – Aromas of candied black cherry, damp undergrowth, sweet licorice and button mushroom, underlined by a saline note and a hint of blonde tobacco.
On the palate – A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and persistent finish where gentle spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Burgundy glass to unlock its full complexity.
Vintage 1967
A classic Burgundy vintage, marked by balanced ripeness and a fine tannic structure, ideal for extended cellaring.
- Aging potential: Drink now or cellar for a few more years in a cool cellar (12-14°C), away from light, for those wishing to follow its evolution.
