The Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru 1994 from Domaine Nicole Lamarche, a Pinot Noir from Flagey-Echezeaux, offers aromas of black fruits, spices and leather. Its silky texture and minerality make it an age-worthy wine, to be savored with bœuf bourguignon or truffles through 2030.
Domaine Nicole Lamarche
Heir to a winemaking lineage dating back to 1797, this family estate embodies the excellence of the Grands Crus of Vosne-Romanée, where each cuvée reflects an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côte de Nuits, cradle of Grands Echezeaux, shaping wines of mineral depth and rare elegance.
- Vinification: Respect for Burgundian traditions, with precise aging to reveal the purity of Pinot Noir and the complexity of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Nicole Lamarche Grands Echezeaux 1994
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density and a brilliance subtly veiled by time.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, damp undergrowth, licorice and faded violet, lifted by a saline note and a hint of black truffle.
On the palate: Velvety and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and persistent finish marked by notes of cocoa and gentle spices.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Burgundy glass to unlock its full complexity.
Vintage 1994
A classic Burgundy vintage, where the ripeness of the grapes is allied with a balanced structure, offering a wine that is both accessible and endowed with fine aging potential.
- Aging potential: Store through 2030 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
