François Lamarche La Grande Rue 1991
Domaine François Lamarche La Grande Rue 1991, Grand Cru Monopole of Vosne-Romanée, is a Pinot Noir with aromas of cherry, spices, and forest floor. Its oak aging imparts a silky, mineral palate. Perfect through 2025, it pairs beautifully with game and aged cheeses.
Domaine François Lamarche
A family estate rooted at the heart of Vosne-Romanée, where the Burgundian heritage is passed down with passion from generation to generation.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Grands Crus of Burgundy, where Pinot Noir expresses its full finesse on the monopole plot of La Grande Rue.
- Vinification: A traditional approach, respectful of the fruit, for wines of precise elegance and assertive minerality.
Tasting notes for Domaine François Lamarche La Grande Rue 1991
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky texture and chalky density that heralds a generous palate.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe morello cherry, damp forest floor, sweet licorice, and faded violet, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of black truffle.
On the palate: A velvety attack, vibrant acidity, and melted tannins woven into a mineral framework, with a long and taut finish where notes of cocoa and gentle spices linger.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to unleash its full complexity.
Vintage 1991
A vintage marked by optimal grape ripeness, offering structured and balanced wines, where freshness blends with a remarkable aromatic depth.
- Aging potential: To be enjoyed by 2025 under ideal storage conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
