To the eye: Garnet robe with tiled reflections, a silky density and a brilliance preserved by three decades of patience.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, toasted cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by notes of liquorice and a saline touch reminiscent of the damp undergrowth of Pauillac.
On the palate: Velvety texture, melted but still present tannins, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, for a remarkably long finish.
Serve at 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its nuances.
