Roses de Jeanne Cuvée La Haute Lemblée R21, Blanc de Blancs from the lieu-dit La Haute Lemblée (0.12 ha), expresses the chalky terroir of the Barséquannais. Organic Chardonnay, without dosage, vinified with indigenous yeasts: fine bubbles, lively minerality and citrus notes. Ages 5–10 years, ideal with oysters or turbot.
A family estate rooted in the chalky hillsides of the Côte des Bars, Roses de Jeanne embodies a quest for purity through terroir-driven champagnes, crafted with rare exigence.
- Terroir: Limestone soils of the Barséquannais, where Chardonnay flourishes in a mineral and precise expression, carried by confidential plots such as La Haute Lemblée.
- Vinification: Artisanal method – single variety, single plot, single vintage – for wines without dosage, aged with patience and respect for the fruit.
Tasting notes for the wine Roses de Jeanne Cuvée La Haute Lemblée R21
To the eye: A pale golden robe with green highlights, of a crystalline clarity, where the fine and persistent bubbles dance with a discreet elegance.
On the nose: Aromas of white flowers and candied citrus intertwine with notes of tart green apple, before giving way to a saline and chalky touch, the signature of the limestone soils of Celles-sur-Ource.
On the palate: A silky and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that stretches into a saline finish of remarkable length.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a narrow champagne flute to preserve the fineness of the bubbles.
