The Cuvée Les Chétillons 2010 Magnum by Pierre Péters, born on the chalky soils of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, is a Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 100% Chardonnay. Aged in stainless steel, this champagne combines freshness, citrus notes and saline minerality. Ideal with seafood or cheese, to be enjoyed until 2030.
A family house rooted in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Pierre Péters has perpetuated for six generations a savoir-faire dedicated to Chardonnay.
- Terroir: Chalky soils of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Grand Cru de Champagne, where chalk imparts a distinctive minerality to the wines.
- Winemaking: Traditional method, aged on fine lees and fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Champagne Pierre Péters Blanc de Blancs Cuvée Spéciale Les Chétillons 2010
To the eye: Pale golden-yellow robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity, crowned with a fine and persistent mousse, silky as a veil of silk.
On the nose: First fresh and airy — hawthorn, acacia blossom and white peach —, then deeper with notes of candied orange peel, ripe pear and almond milk, before giving way to a saline and chalky touch, the signature of the terroir.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, where mineral tension blends with a smooth texture; aromas of dried fruits (mandarin, apricot) and soft flowers stretch into a long, saline finish, carried by an elegant acidity.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a tall, narrow champagne flute to concentrate the aromas.
Vintage 2010
A vintage marked by balanced maturity, where the mineral freshness of the terroir combines with a remarkable aromatic concentration.
- Aging potential: To be kept until 2030 or beyond, in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
