The Blanc de Blancs Brut Réserve Oubliée by Pierre Péters, from the Grand Cru of the Côte des Blancs, celebrates Chardonnay. Aged on lees, this champagne (2020 base) offers aromas of citrus and a chalky minerality. Its lively, silky palate pairs beautifully with seafood. To be enjoyed until 2030.
A family house rooted at the heart of the Côte des Blancs for six generations, Pierre Péters embodies the exacting standards of a chalk terroir and a commitment to a pure, precise style.
- Terroir: Chalky soils of the Grand Cru villages — Le Mesnil-sur-Oger first and foremost —, where Chardonnay draws its minerality and tension.
- Vinification: Extended aging on lees, rigorous selection of reserve cuvées, and patience under cork for a subtle complexity.
Tasting notes for Pierre Péters Réserve Oubliée Blanc de Blancs Brut
To the eye: Pale golden robe with green reflections, of silky clarity and fine, persistent effervescence.
On the nose: Aromas of white flowers and candied citrus, followed by notes of toasted brioche, fresh hazelnut and a saline touch, the signature of great chalky terroirs.
On the palate: A texture that is both smooth and taut, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that stretches into a saline and elegant finish of great length.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a Champagne flute or a white wine glass to preserve its freshness and aromas.
