The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux Vieilles Vignes 2022, signed by Domaine Denis Bachelet, reveals clay-limestone soils. This wine, from old vines, offers cherry, violet and spices, aged in barrels. Taut, mineral palate with fine tannins. Perfect from 2034 onwards with duck breast or aged cheeses.
A family estate anchored at the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, where time sculpts wines of rare precision.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, cradle of the most elegant Pinot Noir in Burgundy, where the old vines draw their minerality.
- Vinification : An artisanal approach, between tradition and respect for the fruit, for cuvées of silky tension and chalky length.
Tasting notes for Domaine Denis Bachelet Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux Vieilles Vignes 2022
- To the eye : A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of velvety density.
- On the nose : First notes of fresh morello cherry and wild blackberry, followed by a touch of liquorice and damp undergrowth, before a saline edge comes to underline the purity of the fruit.
- On the palate : A silky yet vibrant texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and precise finish where soft spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release all its complexity.
Vintage 2022
A vintage marked by generous maturity, where the summer heat concentrated the fruit without altering the mineral freshness so characteristic of Les Corbeaux.
- Ageing potential : To be kept for 10 to 15 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light, to allow time to reveal all its depth.
