The Nuits-Saint-Georges « La Charmotte » 2018, from Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair, reveals the clay-limestone hillsides of Burgundy. This Pinot Noir, with notes of red fruits and earth, combines freshness, fine tannins and minerality. Perfect until 2028 with game or cheeses.
Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair
A family estate rooted at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, where respect for the terroir has guided every cuvée since 2001.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Nuits-Saint-Georges, where Pinot Noir expresses a chalky minerality and an elegance typical of the appellation.
- Vinification: A precise approach blending tradition and modernity, with a gentle maceration to preserve the freshness and purity of the aromas.
Tasting notes for Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair Nuits-Saint-Georges La Charmotte 2018
To the eye: A garnet red robe with deep reflections, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry and ripe raspberry, lifted by notes of violet and undergrowth, with a saline touch on the finish.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by fine tannins and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and elegant finish.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2018
A generous vintage, marked by a balance between fruit maturity and mineral freshness, ideal for lovers of wines with aging potential.
- Aging potential: 8 to 12 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
