Nestled at the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate embodies the dedication and faithfulness to the Burgundian terroir that has been passed down through generations.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits, where Pinot Noir reveals its mineral depth and precision.
- Winemaking: Biodynamic approach and barrel aging for wines of taut elegance, reflecting the authenticity of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Trapet Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 1990
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of silky density and a brilliance preserved by time.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe morello cherry, damp undergrowth, sweet liquorice and black truffle, underlined by a saline touch and a chalky minerality.
On the palate: Velvety yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a melted tannic structure, with a long, saline finish marked by notes of cocoa and soft spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A sun-drenched and generous vintage, where the ripeness of the grapes allowed power and finesse to be combined, while retaining a beautiful freshness.
- Aging potential: Drink until 2030, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
