Personalise your experience
The Chambertin Grand Cru 1993 from Domaine Trapet Père & Fils reveals the calcareous terroir of Gevrey-Chambertin. This Pinot Noir, with notes of cherry, ripe berries and spices, captivates with its velvety palate, freshness and minerality. Perfect with duck breast or a cheese board.
Domaine Trapet Père & Fils
A family estate rooted in the Grands Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, where the Burgundian heritage has been passed down since 1859.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Chambertin hillsides, the cradle of the deepest and most mineral Pinot Noirs in Burgundy.
- Vinification: Aged in oak barrels, respecting natural cycles and seeking a pure expression of the grape variety.
Tasting notes for Domaine Trapet Père & Fils Chambertin 1993
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky texture lightly veiled by time.
On the nose: Aromas of candied morello cherry, damp undergrowth, soft liquorice and a mineral touch reminiscent of the chalk of the hillsides.
On the palate: A velvety attack, lively acidity and melted tannins, carried by a chalky minerality and a saline finish of elegant length.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its nuances.
Vintage 1993
A vintage marked by early ripeness and balanced climatic conditions, yielding structured and harmonious wines.
- Ageing potential: Drink now or cellar until 2030 in a cool, humid cellar.
