The Chambertin 2019 Magnum from Domaine Trapet, a Grand Cru from Gevrey-Chambertin, comes from clay-limestone soils. This biodynamic Pinot Noir, aged in oak, combines aromas of cherry and spices with a mineral and fresh palate. Perfect for 10–20 years of cellaring, it pairs beautifully with game and aged cheeses.

Tasting notes for Domaine Trapet Père & Fils Chambertin 2019 Magnum
To the eye: A deep garnet-red robe, with a silky texture and a chalky density that already hints at its complexity.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh black cherry, wild violet, sweet liquorice and damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a stony minerality.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by taut acidity and a silky tannic structure, leading to a long, saline finish where gentle spices and truffle notes intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its purity.

- Ageing potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
