Yann Durieux PTG
The Yann Durieux estate, nestled in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits in Messanges, Burgundy, is driven by Yann Durieux, a daring winemaker devoted to pure terroir expression. After a decade of learning at Domaine Prieuré-Roch, he launched Recrue des Sens in 2010, farming his 3 hectares biodynamically with a minimalist approach. The PTG L21 cuvée, under the Vin de France appellation, is crafted from Pinot Noir harvested from a Hautes-Côtes parcel. This 2021 vintage, vinified without sulphur or filtration, relies on semi-carbonic maceration and ageing in old barrels.
On tasting, this still wine reveals a brilliant ruby hue and an expressive nose of crushed raspberry, violet, and white pepper, with a mineral nuance. On the palate, it offers a light texture, silky tannins, and sharp acidity, concluding with notes of red fruit and fresh earth. Perfect with a veal chop or a dish of herbed lentils, the Yann Durieux PTG L21 captivates with its finesse and authenticity.
