Thomas Batardière Esprit Libre 2024, a natural white wine from Anjou, made from Chenin on schist and red sands. Vinified in stainless steel without added sulfur, it captivates with notes of white flowers, citrus, and chalky minerality. Fresh and lively, it pairs well with seafood or cheeses.
A domaine rooted in the schistous soils of Anjou, where Chenin thrives under biodynamic farming, carrying the heritage of a terroir and an exacting philosophy.
- Terroir: Red sands and quartz gravel over schist at Rablay-sur-Layon, three plots of vines aged 15 to 90 years, shaping wines of chalky minerality and characteristic tension.
- Winemaking: Natural fermentations without additives, aging on lees in stainless steel tanks, respecting the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.

In the glass: A pale yellow robe with green reflections, of silky clarity and a brilliance that heralds its freshness.
On the nose: Delicate aromas of white flowers – hawthorn, acacia – followed by a touch of ripe citrus, candied lemon zest, and then a saline minerality reminiscent of the schist terroir.
On the palate: A lively and taut texture, carried by a precise acidity and a chalky salinity, leaving a long and elegant finish where purity and complexity intertwine.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its full finesse.
