In Sillery, at the foot of the Montagne de Reims, between Reims and Épernay, in the heart of one of the most beautiful vineyards in Champagne, Champagne Virginie T. is an exceptional family house founded in 2008 by Virginie Taittinger, daughter of Claude Taittinger (former president of the Maison Taittinger) and Catherine de Suarez d'Aulan (descendant of the former owners of Piper-Heidsieck). Hailing from a double Champenoise lineage of over a century, Virginie left her position in 2005 following the sale of the Taittinger group to create her own house. Joined in 2015 by her son Ferdinand Pougatch, she now runs a boutique-maison specialising in Grandes Cuvées with extended ageing (8 years on average).
