The History of Champagne R. Faivre

Robert Faivre — The Founder: The story of Domaine R. Faivre dates back to 1953, when founder Robert Faivre established the Champagne house in Belval-sous-Chatillon. At the time, its business model was based on pooling resources. Robert made the forward-thinking decision to join the cooperative system, laying the foundations for the family estate.

Bernard Faivre — Tireless Through Every Challenge: After his brother’s death in the early 1970s, Bernard Faivre courageously took the reins of the estate, retaining the cooperative model. His dedication and hard work defined this pivotal period for the house.

David Faivre — Bringing the Terroir to Light: Taking over in 2000, David Faivre began a major transformation by adopting sustainable vineyard practices. His plans for winemaking took shape in 2008 with the creation of a pressing facility. In 2016, the estate earned both HVE (High Environmental Value) and Viticulture Durable en Champagne certifications, affirming its environmental commitment.

The Terroirs and Vineyards of Champagne R. Faivre 

As early as the 2000s, aware of the importance of sustainable viticulture, the estate committed to following strict specifications to obtain grapes of the highest quality. In 2017, guided by its environmental convictions, the estate decided to leave the cooperative model. With the help of expert Richard Dailly, Domaine R. Faivre began crafting its own cuvées, a true reflection of its distinctive terroir.

Viticulture and Winemaking at Champagne R. Faivre

Domaine R. Faivre’s commitment to the environment was recognized in 2016 with HVE and Viticulture Durable en Champagne certification. Its decision to leave the cooperative model in 2017 marked a turning point, giving the estate complete control over the cuvée-making process. Organic viticulture became a major focus in 2020, strengthening its commitment to biodiversity, conserving water resources, and reducing its carbon footprint.

The Cuvées of Domaine du Champagne R. Faivre

Domaine R. Faivre is proud to present its range of champagne wines, each expressing a distinctive sense of terroir. In keeping with the estate’s environmental convictions, the cuvées reflect its commitment to sustainable viticulture and preserving the ecosystem. Among them, Champagne R. Faivre stands out, offering an authentic, environmentally conscious experience.

The main cuvées are Or Faivre Blanc de Meuniers Extra Brut, L’Aguerrie Réserve Extra Brut, Les Champs de Romy Blanc de Blancs, Les Perles du Paradis Extra Brut Rosé, and Reflet Naturel Blanc de Noirs. The estate also produces exclusive cuvées depending on the vintage.
