History of Domaine R. Faivre

Robert Faivre - The Founder: The story of Domaine R. Faivre dates back to 1953, with the creation of the Champagne House in Belval-sous-Chatillon by founder Robert Faivre. At that time, the economic model relied on resource mutualization, and Robert made the visionary decision to join the cooperative system, laying the foundation for the family operation.

Bernard Faivre - The Tireless in All Trials: In the early 70s, after the passing of his brother, Bernard Faivre bravely took over the operation, maintaining the cooperative model. His dedication and hard work marked this crucial period for the house.

David Faivre - Terroir Revealer: Taking the reins in 2000, David Faivre initiated a major transformation by adopting sustainable agricultural practices. The reflection on winemaking materialized in 2008 with the creation of the pressing center. In 2016, the estate received the dual HVE (High Environmental Value) & Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certification, solidifying its environmental commitment.

Terroirs and Vines

Since the early 2000s, aware of the importance of sustainable viticulture, the estate adhered to a stringent specification to obtain grapes of the highest quality. In 2017, fortified by environmental convictions, the estate decided to leave the cooperative model. With the assistance of expert Richard Dailly, Domaine R. Faivre is dedicated to crafting its own cuvées, a true reflection of its unique terroir identity.

Viticulture and Vinification

The commitment of Domaine R. Faivre to the environment is evidenced by the HVE & Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certification in 2016. The decision to leave the cooperative model in 2017 marked a turning point, allowing the estate to have complete control over the cuvée crafting process. Organic viticulture became a major step starting in 2020, reinforcing the commitment to biodiversity, water resource preservation, and reducing carbon footprint.

In harmony with the estate's environmental convictions, the cuvées reflect a commitment to sustainable viticulture and ecosystem preservation. Among these cuvées, Champagne R. Here are the main cuvées: Or Faivre Blanc de Meuniers Extra Brut, L’Aguerrie Réserve Extra Brut, Les Champs de Romy Blanc de Blancs, Les Perles du Paradis Extra Brut Rosé, and Reflet Naturel Blanc de Noirs. Exclusive cuvées are also produced based on the vintage.
