The R. Faivre estate, located in Belval-sous-Châtillon in the Marne, a few kilometres from the capital of Champagne, is run by David Faivre. He draws all his passion from his vines, cultivated with respect for the environment (HVE and VDC certification), and is committed to converting to organic viticulture. Discover the magnificent cuvées of this estate and its history! A magnified Meunier for superb bubbles and discoveries that leave no one indifferent.
Robert Faivre - The Founder: The history of Domaine R. Faivre dates back to 1953, when the Champagne house was established in Belval-sous-Chatillon by its founder, Robert Faivre. At that time, the business model was based on the pooling of resources. Robert made the visionary decision to join the cooperative system, thus laying the foundations of the family estate.
Bernard Faivre - The Tireless and Unshakeable: Following the death of his brother in the early 1970s, Bernard Faivre courageously took the helm of the estate, maintaining the cooperative model. His dedication and hard work defined this crucial period for the house.
David Faivre - Terroir Revealer: David Faivre, taking over the reins in 2000, initiated a major transformation by adopting sustainability-focused farming practices. His thinking on winemaking came to fruition in 2008 with the creation of the pressing centre. In 2016, the estate obtained the dual HVE (High Environmental Value) & Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certification, consecrating its environmental commitment.
From the 2000s onwards, aware of the importance of sustainable viticulture, the estate committed to adhering to strict specifications in order to obtain grapes of optimal quality. In 2017, driven by its environmental convictions, the estate decided to leave the cooperative model. With the assistance of expert Richard Dailly, Domaine R. Faivre dedicated itself to crafting its own cuvées, a true reflection of its unique terroir identity.
The commitment of Domaine R. Faivre to the environment is reflected in its HVE & Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certification in 2016. The decision to leave the cooperative model in 2017 marked a turning point, allowing the estate to take full control of the cuvée production process. Organic viticulture became a major milestone from 2020 onwards, reinforcing the commitment to biodiversity, the preservation of water resources and the reduction of the carbon footprint.
Domaine R. Faivre is proud to present its range of Champagne wines, imbued with a truly unique terroir identity. In keeping with the estate's environmental convictions, the cuvées reflect its commitment to sustainable viticulture and the preservation of the ecosystem. Among these cuvées, Champagne R. Faivre stands out, offering an authentic experience that is respectful of the environment.
The main cuvées are as follows: the Or Faivre Blanc de Meuniers Extra Brut, L'Aguerrie Réserve Extra Brut, Les Champs de Romy Blanc de Blancs, Les Perles du Paradis Extra Brut Rosé and Reflet Naturel Blanc de Noirs. He also produces exclusive cuvées depending on the vintage.
