Beauséjour Bécot 2001 OWC
The Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 2001, aged on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, is a Premier Grand Cru Classé B. Dominated by Merlot, it blends Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon to yield aromas of ripe fruit and spices. The palate, dense and fresh, pairs beautifully with a tournedos Rossini through 2030.

Tasting notes for Château Beau-Séjour Bécot Beauséjour Bécot 2001
- To the eye : A deep garnet red color with brick-like reflections, a silky texture, and a promising density.
- On the nose : A generous bouquet combining aromas of wild blackberry, candied prune, gentle spices such as cinnamon, and a subtle touch of graphite, the signature of the limestone terroir.
- On the palate : A velvety attack, carried by a rich and fleshy texture, balanced by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a long and saline finish, marked by tannins that are still present but well-integrated.
Serve at 61°F in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.

A vintage marked by optimal grape ripeness, yielding structured and well-balanced wines, ideal for extended cellaring.
- Aging potential : To be cellared for 15 to 20 years under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity, and away from light).
