- Winemaking: Traditional methods combining precision and respect for the fruit, for cuvées that are both powerful and refined, bearing the signature of Merlot.
Tasting notes for Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 1983
On the eye: Garnet robe with tawny hues, of a silky texture, slightly veiled by time, revealing a harmonious maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, blonde tobacco, damp undergrowth and black truffle, underscored by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: Velvety attack, melted but still present tannins, balanced by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, leading to a long and persistent finish marked by notes of liquorice and cocoa.
Serve at 61–64°F in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
