Tasting notes for Château Belair 1997
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tawny reflections, of a silky density and a brilliance preserved by time.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry, candied prune and liquorice, lifted by notes of cedar, blond tobacco and a saline touch evoking the limestone subsoil.
On the palate: A velvety attack, underpinned by lively acidity and a still-present tannic framework, offering a long and mineral finish where nuances of truffle and gentle spices unfold.
