Tasting notes for Château Clos Fourtet Clos Fourtet 1975
To the eye: a garnet red robe with tawny reflections, of velvety density and a brilliance subtly patinated by time.
On the nose: aromas of wild blackberry, candied prune and cedar mingle with notes of blonde tobacco and undergrowth, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: a silky, melted texture, carried by a lively acidity and a persistent minerality, with a long and harmonious finish where nuances of licorice and soft spices unfold.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its bouquet.
