Egly-Ouriet Blanc de Noirs Les Crayères (Base 2018 - Disgorgement 2025): 100% Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru Ambonnay, chalk terroir. Aged 51 months on lees in barrels, it offers aromas of spices, candied citrus and red fruits, underpinned by a chalky minerality. On the palate, silky and lively, perfect for refined pairings or cellaring through 2030.
A family estate rooted in Ambonnay, where Pinot Noir reigns supreme on chalky soils across three generations.
- Terroir: Grand Cru of Ambonnay, pure chalk soils shaping wines of vibrant minerality and rare structure.
- Winemaking: barrel aging, full malolactic fermentation and patient lees aging for an expression that is both powerful and precise.
Tasting notes for the wine Egly-Ouriet Blanc de Noirs Les Crayères (Base 2018 - Disgorgement 2025)
To the eye: a golden robe with copper highlights, of a silky texture and a brilliance that already hints at its density.
On the nose: aromas of candied citrus – bitter orange, lime – intertwining with warm spices (cinnamon, cardamom), ripe red fruits (cherry, redcurrant) and a saline touch reminiscent of freshly cut chalk.
On the palate: a rich and almost fleshy attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that stretches the finish into a long saline persistence, where notes of candied ginger and wild strawberry intertwine.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a wide-mouthed Champagne flute to release its complex aromas.
Vintage 2018
A sunny and generous vintage, where the ripeness of Ambonnay's Pinot Noir expresses itself with rare depth, balanced by a mineral freshness characteristic of the great chalky terroirs.
- Aging potential: 10 to 15 years, store in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
