Personalise your experience
The Bonnes-Mares 2000 from Domaine Robert Groffier embodies the clay-limestone terroir of Chambolle-Musigny. This Pinot Noir offers aromas of cherry and violet, a dense and mineral palate, and velvety tannins. Perfect for ageing, it pairs beautifully with duck breast or a cheese board.
Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils
A family estate anchored in the Côte de Nuits, where three generations have cultivated a rare dedication to Pinot Noir and an unwavering faithfulness to the terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru appellation, in Chambolle-Musigny – a jewel of minerality and finesse.
- Vinification: Ageing in oak barrels, respect for natural cycles and the pursuit of pure expression, without artifice.
Tasting notes for Domaine Robert Groffier Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru 2000
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tawny highlights, of silky texture and a chalky density that heralds its maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe morello cherry, faded violet, damp undergrowth and liquorice, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of black truffle.
On the palate: A velvety attack, lively tension carried by a precise acidity, tannins still present but well-integrated, a long and mineral finish where soft spices and leather notes intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2000
A vintage marked by generous ripeness, where the summer heat concentrated the fruits without altering the balance.
- Ageing potential: To be drunk through 2030, stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
