A family estate rooted in the steep Côte-Rôtie hillsides, where schist and granite shape Syrah wines of rare precision.
- Terroir: Vineyards perched above Ampuis on schist and granite soils—a mineral setting that gives the wines their vibrancy and elegance.
- Winemaking: Complete destemming, measured maceration, and barrel aging preserve the purity of the fruit and the direct expression of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Jamet Les Plaisirs d’Harys Magnum
Appearance: A deep red color with violet highlights, silky depth, and a mineral sheen that hints at its vibrant youth.
Nose: First, notes of wild blackberry and black cherry, followed by a touch of white pepper and violet, then opening onto subtle schist-derived salinity and a hint of licorice.
Palate: A direct, juicy opening with lively acidity and a velvety texture. Chalky minerality extends into a long, taut finish marked by fine tannins and a spicy touch.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to bring out its complexity.
