The Domaine Roulot Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru 2018 expresses Pinot Noir on the limestone slopes of Auxey-Duresses. Sourced from old vines, it marries dark fruits and spices after 15 months in barrels. Its silky, mineral palate promises a cellar life of 10 years. Ideal with red meats or aged cheeses.
A pillar of Burgundy since 1820, this family estate embodies the rare alliance between tradition and modernity, anchored at the heart of Meursault.
- Terroir: Limestone and marl soils of the Côte de Beaune, where the Premier Crus of Auxey-Duresses reveal a chalky minerality and a discreet elegance.
- Winemaking: A precise approach — total destemming, fermentation in open barrels — for wines of crystalline purity, where the fruit dialogues with the rock.
Tasting notes for Domaine Roulot Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru 2018
To the eye: Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Freshness of morello cherry and wild blackberry, then notes of liquorice, white pepper and a saline touch, evoking the damp undergrowth of Burgundy.
On the palate: A lively and taut attack, where the chiseled acidity carries a full yet elegant body, while the long, chalky finish leaves an impression of purity and tension.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its delicate aromas.
Vintage 2018

- Aging potential: 10 to 15 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
