Tasting notes for Château Latour 1988
In the glass: A garnet red robe with tiled reflections, of a silky density, betraying its age with understated elegance.
On the nose: A generous bouquet unfolds with notes of ripe blackcurrant, cedar, blonde tobacco and undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, unfolds into a long, taut finish where gentle spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully appreciate its complexity.
