The Château Mouton Rothschild 2008, 1er Cru Classé of Pauillac, reveals aromas of cedar, blackberry and graphite. Blended at 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot, aged in barrels, it combines silky tannins and minerality. Perfect with lamb or cheese, it will improve until 2040.
A historic pillar of Pauillac, this family estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence for generations, combining tradition and artistic boldness.
- Terroir: Deep gravels and calcareous clays of Pauillac, sculpting wines of mineral density and rare elegance.
- Vinification: Precise blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in oak barrels for a structure that is both powerful and silky.
Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild 2008
On the eye: Deep purple robe with garnet reflections, of a velvety density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, wild blackberry and violet, lifted by notes of cedar, graphite and a saline touch of flint.
On the palate: Smooth and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and persistent finish, marked by elegant tannins and a spicy touch.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
