The Forts de Latour 1975, second wine of Château Latour, is born on the gravelly soils of Pauillac. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in oak barrels, it offers aromas of dark fruits, tobacco and spices, underpinned by a velvety texture. Perfect with red meats or game.

- Terroir : Gravelly and calcareous soils of the Médoc, bathed in an Atlantic climate, imparting a distinctive minerality and an elegant structure to the wines.
- Vinification : Meticulous aging in oak barrels, combining tradition and precision to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the tannins.
Tasting notes for Château Latour Forts de Latour 1975
To the eye – A deep garnet-red color, with brick-like reflections, of silky density and a brilliance preserved over the decades.
On the nose – A bouquet where aromas of candied blackcurrant and wild blackberry intermingle, followed by deeper notes of blonde tobacco, cedar and damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of liquorice.
On the palate – A velvety, almost unctuous texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, while the tannins, melded yet still present, extend a remarkably long finish, where gentle spices and black pepper linger.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
