Forts de Latour 1975
Château Latour, emblem of the Médoc, embodies the excellence of great Bordeaux wines. Its second wine, Les Forts de Latour 1975, combines Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to reveal the full richness of the Pauillac terroir. Produced from vines planted on gravelly, chalky soils, this wine benefits from an Atlantic climate that allows the grapes to ripen slowly and optimally. Traditional vinification, followed by 18 months' ageing in oak barrels (50% of which are new), gives it a refined structure and highly complex aromas. The 1975 vintage, marked by a hot, dry summer, produces a powerful wine that is ideal for laying down. On tasting, it reveals notes of black fruit, tobacco, undergrowth and spices, supported by a velvety texture and smooth tannins. A mature, elegant and unforgettable wine, perfect for celebrating great moments.
