The Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles 2023 from Domaine Louis Michel et Fils, born on the chalky slopes of Chablis, offers a precise and mineral Chardonnay. Notes of white flowers, citrus and flint. A lively, silky, persistent palate. Perfect with oysters and aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted at the heart of Chablis, where tradition meets an unrelenting quest for purity.
- Terroir: Chalky Kimmeridgian soils of the Grand Cru Grenouilles appellation, bearing a unique minerality and a saline tension.
- Winemaking: Aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the Chardonnay, without oak, in a refined and precise style.
- To the eye: Pale golden robe, with a silky clarity, enlivened by a slight crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose: Aromas of crunchy apple and Williams pear intertwine with notes of white flowers and candied citrus, lifted by a saline touch and a chalky minerality.
- On the palate: Taut and vibrant texture, driven by a lively acidity and a persistent salinity, stretching into a long and elegant finish, marked by nuances of white fruit and flint.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a white Burgundy wine glass, to release all its precision.
An early and generous vintage, where the freshness and maturity of the grapes combine to offer a wine of remarkable tension.
- Aging potential: To be kept 10 years and more under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
