Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand cru Les Preuses 2009
The Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses 2009 reveals the soul of the Kimmeridgian soils of Les Preuses. This Chardonnay offers aromas of gunflint and citrus, a taut acidity and a saline minerality. Perfect for aging, it pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish or aged cheeses.
Domaine René et Vincent Dauvissat
Heir to a family expertise dating back to 1931, this estate embodies the excellence of the Chablis Grands Crus, rooted in the limestone hillsides of Burgundy.
- Terroir: Kimmeridgian soils rich in marine fossils, Les Preuses climat, a prime terroir for wines of crystalline minerality.
- Vinification: Gentle pressing, controlled barrel aging in oak, in pursuit of a pure and taut expression of the Chardonnay.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine René et Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses 2009
Eye: Pale gold robe with green highlights, of a silky clarity and a mineral brilliance.
Nose: Aromas of candied lemon, acacia blossom and gunflint, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of roasted hazelnut in the background.
Palate: Dense and vibrant texture, carried by a precise acidity and a chalky minerality, leaving a long and saline finish of taut elegance.
Serve between 12 and 14°C, in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2009
A generous and balanced vintage, where the ripeness of the grapes harmonized with the characteristic mineral freshness of the Chablis Grands Crus.
- Aging potential: To be savored until 2030, or even beyond, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
