Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand cru Les Clos 2021
The Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2021, from 50-year-old vines, reveals aromas of citrus, flint and vanilla. On the palate, taut minerality, silky texture and a saline finish. A wine for aging (2029–2075), ideal with oysters or noble fish.
Domaine René et Vincent Dauvissat
A family estate rooted in the heart of Chablis, where heritage is passed down with respect for the terroir and the exacting standards of great wines.
- Terroir: Kimmeridgian chalky soils, bearing the Chablis Grand Cru appellation, shaping wines of vibrant minerality and rare precision.
- Vinification: Controlled aging in oak barrels, for a pure expression of Chardonnay, balancing tension and silky elegance.
Tasting notes for Domaine René et Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2021
To the eye: A pale golden robe of crystalline clarity, with silvery reflections betraying a silky texture and a dense structure.
On the nose: Aromas of candied citrus — bitter orange and lemon zest — intertwine with notes of ripe apple and Williams pear, before giving way to a mineral hint of flint and a discreet, refined touch of vanilla.
On the palate: A broad and generous attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky tension, guiding the wine toward a long, saline finish of remarkable purity.
Serve between 12 and 14°C, in a white Burgundy wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2021
A vintage marked by mineral freshness and rare concentration, where the balance between ripeness and tension expresses itself with singular elegance.
- Aging potential: To be kept until 2075 under optimal conditions (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations).
