Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand cru Les Clos 2003
The Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2003 from Domaine Vincent Dauvissat, crafted on Kimmeridgian soils, offers a dry white wine where minerality and freshness take center stage. Aromas of pineapple and gunflint, a dense and saline palate. To enjoy until 2031 with oysters, crustaceans or poultry in sauce.
Domaine Vincent Dauvissat
A family estate rooted at the heart of Chablis, Domaine Vincent Dauvissat perpetuates a winemaking heritage where precision and respect for the terroir guide every cuvée.
- Terroir: Chalky Kimmeridgian soils of the Chablis Grand Cru appellation, where marls and fossils impart a distinctive minerality to the wines.
- Vinification: Controlled barrel aging in oak, without excessive wood influence, to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay and the natural tension of the fruit.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2003
Eye: Brilliant yellow robe with golden highlights, of a silky texture and a crystalline clarity.
Nose: Aromas of ripe pineapple, fresh rosemary and nutmeg, lifted by a saline touch and nuances of gunflint, evoking the calcareous soils of the terroir.
Palate: Dense and concentrated attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, while the finish, long and saline, reveals a taut and perfectly dry elegance.
Serve at 12–14°C in a white Burgundy-style wine glass to enhance its complexity.
Vintage 2003
A vintage marked by intense summer heat, yielding powerful and concentrated wines in which minerality dominates over fruit.
- Aging potential: To be stored until 2031 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
