Tasting notes for Château Lynch-Bages 1999
To the eye: A garnet red robe with tawny reflections, dense and luminous, revealing a silky texture and beautiful concentration.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and prune intertwine with notes of cedar, blond tobacco and a saline touch, the signature of great gravelly terroirs.
On the palate: A frank and precise attack, carried by elegant tannins and a lively acidity, which unfolds into a long, mineral finish marked by gentle spices and a subtle chalky bitterness.
