Lafite Rothschild 1969 -15% DISCOUNT !
Château Lafite Rothschild, an emblematic reference in the Pauillac appellation, embodies both the tradition and refinement of great Bordeaux red wines. The now-rare 1969 vintage captivates with its finesse and timeless elegance. Produced mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon, with contributions from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it finds its balance in a soil of Pyrenean gravel on a limestone subsoil, ensuring excellent drainage and a beautiful expression of the terroir. A mild summer in 1969 enabled slow ripening, despite sometimes tricky technical conditions. Hand-harvesting, followed by parcel-by-parcel vinification in wooden and stainless steel vats, preceded an 18-20 month ageing period in new oak barrels. The wine reveals subtle aromas of plum, graphite and sweet spices, carried by a silky mouth and melted tannins. A delicate cru, ideal for lovers of rare vintages and prestigious collections.
