Tasting notes for the wine Château Mouton Rothschild 1977
On the eye – Garnet robe with tile-red reflections, dense and silky, betraying a patiently acquired maturity.
On the nose – Aromas of candied blackcurrant, grilled cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a hint of graphite and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – Velvety texture, melted but still present tannins, balanced by a lively acidity and a long finish carried by notes of liquorice and undergrowth.
Serve at 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
