The Bourgogne Blanc 2024 from Domaine Michel Niellon draws its minerality from the chalky soils of Chassagne-Montrachet. This Chardonnay, aged in barrels and a concrete egg, offers a lively and precise palate with vanilla notes. Perfect with fish or cheese, it will keep for 2–3 years.
A family estate rooted at the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, where Chardonnay expresses itself with discreet elegance and mineral precision.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils of the Burgundian hillsides, between the villages of Chassagne-Montrachet and Corpeau, shaping wines of a chalky tension.
- Vinification : Measured ageing in barrels (including a portion in a concrete egg) to preserve the purity of the fruit and the freshness of the terroir.
- In the eye : Pale robe with green highlights, of a silky clarity and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : Aromas of white blossom and lime open onto notes of crisp apple and flint, lifted by a discreet saline touch.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a slightly saline finish of elegant length.
Serve between 10 and 12°C, in a white Burgundy-style glass to reveal its full complexity.
A vintage marked by a spring-like freshness and a balanced summer, yielding wines of mineral tension and aromatic purity.
- Ageing potential : To be enjoyed in its youth (2 to 4 years) for its vibrancy, or kept for up to 6 years in a cool, dark cellar.
