The Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge 2024 from Domaine Michel Niellon reveals the elegance of Pinot Noir from the Côtes de Beaune. Its notes of cherry and spice, supported by oak ageing, combine with a lively, mineral palate. Perfect from 2026 with duck breast or soft-rind cheeses.
A family estate rooted in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, where Burgundian tradition is passed down with rigour.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marl soils of the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation, in the Côte de Beaune – a balance between chalky minerality and fruity richness.
- Vinification: Complete destemming, gentle maceration and precise fermentations to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir and the elegance of the terroir.
To the eye: a deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: aromas of black cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by notes of violet and liquorice, with a mineral hint of flint in the background.
On the palate: a lively, precise attack, silky tannins and taut acidity, carried by a chalky minerality and a long, elegant, saline finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration blend harmoniously.
- Aging potential: Cellar until 2038 under optimal conditions (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations).
