Domaine Peyre Rose’s Marlène N3 2007, grown on the Languedoc’s clay-limestone slopes, blends Syrah and Grenache. Aged in tanks and large oak casks, it reveals aromas of red fruit, spices and light tobacco. Full-bodied and mineral, with fine tannins, it pairs with red meat and can be enjoyed through 2027.
Nestled in Saint-Pargoire, this organic estate embodies the exacting standards of a Languedoc terroir where vines have drawn on limestone soils since the 1990s.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone slopes in the Languedoc, where stones absorb the day’s heat and release it at night, shaping wines with rare mineral tension.
- Winemaking: Partial destemming, extended maceration and aging in tanks and large oak casks reveal a powerful yet silky character, without artifice.
Tasting notes for Domaine Peyre Rose Coteaux du Languedoc Marlène N3 2007
In the glass – A deep, luminous red with garnet highlights.
On the nose – Crushed, sun-ripened red fruit gives way to notes of roasted coffee, sweet spices and light tobacco, followed by a hint of mint that highlights the terroir’s mineral freshness.
On the palate – Full and velvety, it coats the palate with an imposing structure and remarkably fine tannins; lively acidity and chalky salinity carry through to an exceptionally long finish.
Decant one hour before tasting and serve at 15–17°C in a red wine glass.
