The
Nestled in the heart of Languedoc, this estate embodies exacting standards and patience, guided by Marlène Soria’s vision since the 1990s.
- Terroir: Stony clay-limestone soils on an isolated garrigue plateau between Saint-Pargoire and Villeveyrac, where the Mediterranean climate shapes wines of rare intensity.
- Winemaking: Deliberately low yields, hand harvesting, and extended aging in tanks and large oak casks produce distinctive cuvées with exceptional aging potential.
Tasting notes for Domaine Peyre Rose Marlène N°3 2016
Appearance – Deep ruby color with brown highlights, dense and luminous, suggesting generous body and carefully managed aging.
Nose – Aromas of ripe black fruit and wild garrigue combining thyme and eucalyptus, followed by deeper notes of cigar and undergrowth and a saline touch recalling the Mediterranean influence.
Palate – A velvety yet taut texture, supported by silky tannins and mineral freshness, with a long finish unfolding notes of mint and spice.
Serve between 16 and 18 °C in a large red wine glass after decanting for one to four hours.
2016 vintage
This vintage reveals a full-bodied, fresh, structured wine in which ripe fruit is balanced by remarkable mineral tension.
- Aging potential: Cellar through 2038, with an estimated peak around 2031, under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
