The
Nestled in the heart of Languedoc, this family estate embodies a rare union of Mediterranean tradition and contemporary exacting standards.
- Terroir: Vineyards perched on a clay-limestone plateau in Saint-Pargoire, where wild garrigue and stony soils shape wines with distinctive minerality.
- Winemaking: Organic and biodynamic methods, hand harvesting, and patient aging yield cuvées of rare purity.
Tasting notes for Domaine Peyre Rose Belle Léone 2016
Appearance – Deep ruby color with delicate brown highlights, revealing a dense texture and silky body.
Nose – An aromatic palette combining ripe blackcurrant, notes of aged leather, a minty touch, and the saline freshness of garrigue, supported by chalky minerality.
Palate – A generous opening, fine yet slightly pronounced tannins, and lively acidity balance the richness of black fruit; a remarkably long finish retains the terroir’s mineral imprint.
Serve between 16 and 18 °C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
2016 vintage
