Yann Durieux Les 1er Ponts
The Yann Durieux estate, located in Messanges in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits in Burgundy, is led by Yann Durieux, a winemaker celebrated for his uncompromising natural approach. After ten years at Domaine Prieuré-Roch, he founded Recrue des Sens in 2010, farming 3 hectares organically and biodynamically. The Les 1er Ponts L20 cuvée, under the Vin de France appellation, is crafted from Pinot Noir from a parcel near Vosne-Romanée. This 2020 vintage, vinified without sulphur or filtration, undergoes semi-carbonic maceration and ageing in used barrels.
On tasting, this still wine displays a luminous ruby hue and an enchanting nose of blackberry, violet, and liquorice, with a subtle mineral hint. On the palate, it offers an elegant texture, supple tannins, and vibrant acidity, concluding with notes of dark fruit and gentle spices. Perfect with coq au vin or a game terrine, the Yann Durieux Les 1er Ponts L20 captivates with its finesse and authenticity.
