Yann Durieux BT
The Yann Durieux estate, situated in Messanges in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits in Burgundy, is led by Yann Durieux, a celebrated name in natural winemaking. After ten years at Domaine Prieuré-Roch, he founded Recrue des Sens in 2010, farming 3 hectares organically and biodynamically. The BT L18 cuvée, under the Vin de France appellation, is made from Pinot Noir from the Boutières parcel near Savigny-lès-Beaune. This 2018 lot, vinified without added sulphur or filtration, reflects his minimalist style, with extended maceration and ageing in used barrels.
On tasting, this still wine reveals a light ruby hue and an intense nose of fresh cherry, rose petals, and black pepper, with an earthy undertone. On the palate, it offers a silky texture, delicate tannins, and sharp acidity, concluding with mineral and fruity notes. Perfect with roasted poultry or wild mushroom dishes, the Yann Durieux BT L18 enchants with its finesse and authenticity.
