The Arnaud Ente Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts 1999, a rare Chardonnay from Puligny-Montrachet, captivates with its aromas of white fruits, flowers, and fresh butter. Aged in barrels, its minerality and palate tension make it a wine for aging, ideal with shellfish or aged cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of Meursault, this family estate embodies the exacting standards of an exceptional Burgundian terroir, where each cuvée reflects an artisanal heritage and a pursuit of purity.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils of Puligny-Montrachet, where Premier Crus such as *Les Referts* express a chalky minerality and a rare elegance, typical of the great white wines of Burgundy.
- Vinification : Fermentation in oak barrels followed by a precise aging process, with no fining or filtration, to preserve the tension and complexity of the Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes for Domaine Arnaud Ente Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts 1999
- Appearance : Golden robe with green highlights, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a wine that is both dense and airy.
- Nose : Aromas of white flowers and candied citrus intertwine with notes of roasted hazelnut and acacia honey, lifted by a saline touch and a chalky minerality characteristic of the climat.
- Palate : A lively and precise attack, where taut acidity carries a smooth texture, blending fresh butter, gunflint, and a long finish marked by a persistent salinity.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 1999
A vintage where the ripeness of the grapes, favored by a hot and dry summer, achieved a balance of richness and harmony, giving this Puligny-Montrachet an ideal structure for aging.
- Aging Potential : Best kept for another 5 to 10 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C), away from light, to allow its tertiary nuances to fully develop.
