Benoit Marguet Shaman Grand Cru 2022 is born from the chalky soils of Ambonnay and Bouzy. This biodynamic champagne, without dosage, marries Pinot Noir (84%) and Chardonnay (16%) for notes of white fruits and a precise minerality. Taut and silky, it can be enjoyed until 2030 with oysters or sushi.
A grower-producer rooted at the heart of the Grands Crus of Ambonnay and Bouzy, Benoît Marguet perpetuates a family heritage where biodynamics guides every gesture, from vine to bottle.
- Terroir : Chalky and calcareous soils of the hillsides of Ambonnay and Bouzy, the cradle of the most expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Champagne.
- Vinification : Natural method, without dosage, where time and patience reveal the mineral purity of the fruit.
Tasting notes for the wine Benoît Marguet Shaman Grand Cru 2022
- On the eye : Golden robe with green reflections, fine and persistent bubbles tracing a silky ribbon at the surface.
- On the nose : Aromas of crunchy green apple, linden blossom, then toasted hazelnut, before a saline touch reminiscent of the marine air of the Champagne hillsides.
- On the palate : Lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, giving way to a long and saline finish, almost iodized.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a wide-mouthed champagne flute to release its aromas.
Vintage 2022
A vintage marked by early maturity and rare concentration, where the coolness of the nights preserved the balance between fruit and minerality.
- Aging potential : To be stored 8 to 12 years in a cool cellar (12-14°C) away from light, to allow its complexity to blossom.
