Born in Bouzy, the Champagne Benoit Marguet Grand Cru 2020 is a Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut from Pinot Noir. Fermented in barrels, it reveals aromas of white fruits, brioche and honey, supported by a chalky minerality. Its creamy and taut palate offers a saline finish. To enjoy with oysters.
Family estate rooted in Ambonnay, pioneer of biodynamics in Champagne since 2013.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims, cultivated with horses to preserve the life of the soils.
- Vinification: Fermentation in wooden barrels, minimal intervention and no added sulfur, for pure and lively cuvées.
Tasting notes for Champagne Marguet Benoit Marguet Bouzy Grand Cru 2020
To the eye – A deep golden robe with amber highlights, crossed by a fine and persistent effervescence, revealing a silky texture from the very first glance.
On the nose – Aromas of fresh apple and Williams pear intertwine with notes of candied white fruits, toasted brioche and acacia honey, while a mineral, slightly smoky touch evokes the chalky terroir of Bouzy.
On the palate – A round and enveloping attack, where flavors of baked apple and quince unfold, carried by a lively acidity and a creamy structure; the long and saline finish leaves an impression of roasted hazelnuts and mineral purity.
Serve between 10° and 12°C in a Champagne flute to preserve its tension and complexity.
Vintage 2020

- Aging potential: 8 to 12 years, to be stored away from light and temperature variations, bottle on its side.
