The Clos Fourtet 2006, Premier Grand Cru Classé B of Saint-Émilion, originates from a clay-limestone terroir. Dominated by Merlot (80%), it offers notes of dark fruits and a floral touch. The palate, silky and fresh, captivates with its mineral balance. To be served between 16 and 18°C, this vintage is an ideal companion for red meats such as Beef Wellington.
Nestled in the heart of Saint-Émilion, this family estate embodies the excellence of an exceptional terroir, shaped by generations of passionate wine lovers.
- Terroir: A limestone plateau at the gates of the medieval city, where chalky soils and deep clay lend the wines a distinctive minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification: Patient aging in French oak barrels, combining tradition and precision to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the grape varieties.
Tasting notes for Clos Fourtet 2006

On the palate – Velvety texture and fine tannins, carried by a lively acidity and mineral tension; the long, persistent finish reveals nuances of liquorice and cocoa.
